Obituary of Lorie Elwert Becker

Mrs. Lorie Becker, 96, formerly of Top Notch Drive, Little Falls, most recently of Canastota, NY passed away Wednesday April 14, 2021 at the Oneida Health Rehab. Born on February 14, 1925, in Berlin, Germany, she was the daughter of Hans and Marguerite Frei Elwert. She was educated in Germany and resided in New York City prior to moving to Little Falls. Mrs. Becker was a mother and homemaker. She was a member of the former Christ Lutheran Church, Little Falls as well as the Rock City Chapter of AARP. She loved to read and enjoyed quilting, knitting, baking, cooking, and ceramics. When she could, she enjoyed being outdoors gardening. On January 26, 1963 she married Henry Becker. He predeceased her on December 27, 1995. Her brother Heinz Elwert also predeceased her. Mrs. Becker is survived by her 2 sons, Jeffrey and his wife Debra Becker, and John and his wife Joanne Becker; 8 grandchildren Kyle, Jordan, Carly, Meilyn, Abigail, Brooke, Benjamin, and Joseph; and her sister-in-law Mildred Becker. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Rural Park Cemetery.
