Obituary of Timothy B. Rice

Mr. Timothy B. Rice, 62, of Cayuga Road, Niskayuna, New York passed away unexpectedly at his home Tuesday, August 24, 2021. Born on February 4, 1959 in Little Falls, NY, he was the son of Gerald Rice and Jean Pettengill Rice. He was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School and SUNY Plattsburgh, where he received his Bachelor degree in Environmental Science. He had been a resident of the Schenectady area for the past 27 years. Tim was a Health Physicist for the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation in Albany. He was an Eagle Scout and a lifelong affiliate of the Boy Scouts of America. On November 29, 1981 Tim married Elane Levine. Together they celebrated almost 40 years of marriage. His parents and brother, Allan Rice predeceased him. Mr. Rice is survived by his wife, Elane Rice; sons, David, Daniel and his wife, Lila; brothers, Mark and his wife, Cathleen, Carl and his wife, Michelle; numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his dogs, Lina, Arya, Maisie; and his bird. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, August 28th from 2:00-4:00PM at Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. Burial will take place privately at Rural Park Cemetery in Inghams Mills at the convenience of the family.
