Obituary of Wanda M. Barton

Mrs. Wanda M. Barton, 83, of Lafayette Street, Palatine Bridge, New York died Sunday, April 17, 2022 at River Ridge Living Facility, following a brief illness. Born on March 25, 1939 in Cherry Valley, NY, she was the daughter of Earl Morse and Marie Sargent Morse. She spent most of her life in the Mohawk Valley She was a mother and homemaker, also working for Daniel Green Shoe Company. Wanda enjoyed country music, going to fairs, and being outdoors. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and looked forward to cook-outs with them. On August 25, 1955 at First Baptist Church in Little Falls, Wanda was married to John H. Barton. He preceded her in death on October 15, 2003. Her grandsons, Chad Nichols and Damian Barton; sisters, Shirley Burdett, Mary Louise Kaiser; and brothers, Frank Morse, and David Morse also predeceased her. Mrs. Barton is survived by 3 sons, David and Lori Barton, John and Evelyn Barton, Mark and Terri Barton; 5 daughters, Melissa Barton, Dawn and Randy Colegrove, Heidi Nichols and Charles Dygert, Lori and James Bowerman, Tina Stewart; 3 brothers, Duane Morse, Robert Morse, Richard Morse; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 21st at 6:00PM at Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY 13365. The family will recieve relatives and friends on Thursday from 4:00-6:00PM at the funearl home. Burial will take place privately at Church Street Cemetery in Little Falls.
