Obituary of Debora M. Edick
Miss Debora M. Edick, 65, of Military Road, Dolgeville, New York passed away Friday, August 12, 2022 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown with her mom, sister, and brother-in-law by her side, following a brief illness.
Debbie was born on July 13, 1957 in Little Falls, NY, she was the daughter of H. Paul Edick and Ruth F. Johnson Edick. She was a graduate of Stratford High School, Class of 1977 and was a lifelong local area resident.
Debbie worked for Daniel Green Shoe Factory in Dolgeville, NY and for LaSalle Labs in Little Falls, NY.
She was a member of Stratford United Methodist Church.
Debbie loved attending family outings and being with her large and loving family. She brought joy to everyone she knew by showing-off her fancy earrings and blouses and giving the best hugs. Debbie enjoyed crocheting, working on puzzles and word-search books, shopping, watching old-time programs, dancing, and dining out. She had a remarkable memory and always knew whose birthday or anniversary it was. She was a giver of gifts and joy that touched so many lives. Her love and memory will live on because of her kind gestures.
She was predeceased by her father, H. Paul Edick; uncles, Everett Johnson, Jr., Roger Johnson; aunts, Margaret Dunham, Carolyn Bullock, Pam Jaquay, and Madalyn Perry.
Miss Edick is survived by her mother, Ruth F. Edick; sister, Tamara L. and Patrick Smith; special nieces and great nephews, Sara and Garret Wilson and their children, Rollin and Gaven, Jill Smith and her son, JohnPaul Axley; aunts, Juanita Belcher, Shelly and Gary Mowers, Sheree and Frank Herringshaw, Shirley Brill, Sabrina Edick; uncles, Tim and Linda Johnson, Danny and Ann Perry; and many cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 19th at 10:00am at Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY 13365. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, August 18th from 4:30-8:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Salisbury Rural Cemetery.
