I won’t forget the many times seeing Lewis rounding up the cows, getting mad when our dog, Pepper got loose and would go after the barn cats, Ken going to visit or lend a hand on the farm. The time he came down because of the awful noise outside and Ken was working nights; it was a raccoon…I wanted him to shoot it, but he laughed and said no, it was just a little raccoon; what else would I expect from a man who let all types of animals live in the barn! The many bank collection discussions or the times taking Treva to the store while he was left to cook his own pancakes.

I remember...I watched the original "Jaws" movie for the first time while vacationing at the Peavey Palace. It was hard for me to sit still as I would jump and or gasp several times throughout the movie. Lewis laughed every time. I think he enjoyed watching my reactions more than the movie!
