Obituary of Larry A. Nichols

Mr. Larry A. Nichols, 74, of Burwell Street, Little Falls, NY, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving sons, on March 7th, 2024, at the Abraham House in Utica, NY.
He was born in Herkimer, NY, on June 3rd, 1949, the son of Lester Earl Nichols and Harriet Hadcock Nichols, both predeceased him. 
Larry was a lifetime area resident who worked most of his life as a machinist at Feldmeier Equipment in Little Falls, retiring several years ago. 
Proudly, Larry served in the US Army in the Artillery Division. 
He was of the Episcopal faith and a member of the American Legion, Post 31 of Little Falls, holding many offices during his lifetime. He also enjoyed bowling, hunting, and fishing and was known as an outdoorsman. Some people may remember him from the 20-plus years he was a minor league baseball coach. 
Survivors include his sons, Shawn Nichols, Jeffrey Nichols, and Chad Nichols; brother William Nichols; sister Sandra Lamanna and her husband John; grandsons Quentin Nichols and Connor Nichols; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, March 15th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY 13365. Burial will be privately at Salisbury Rural Cemetery, with military honors.
